
My name is Eduardo, and I have been working as a Process Engineer at Oliver Healthcare Packaging since February 2023. Originally from Portugal, I have been living in the Netherlands for about 12 years now.
At Oliver, I don't feel like just one of many employees. I feel welcomed here, and I love that I'm not just a number but simply Eduardo; people know me by my name, even from other departments. I'm not just 'the Process Engineer.'
Currently, we are busy with the validation of products in the new cleanroom, which is a fascinating task. My focus is mainly on machines, such as the gantry machines. We need to validate different material combinations on this new equipment, making the work challenging and interesting.
After working at another company for 10 years, I took the time to decide what I really wanted. That's when I discovered this opportunity at Oliver. The idea of improving the efficiency and quality of products in healthcare greatly appealed to me. The realization of the crucial role of simple packaging in our daily lives, such as in a blood test, makes my work extra meaningful.
For me, it's not just about the work I do, but especially about the people I work with. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere at Oliver, with colleagues from various nationalities who understand each other. Personal contact is essential for me. Sometimes, I even skip emails and walk directly to colleagues in different departments.
Within the walls of Oliver, it feels like a family. We not only have work-related conversations but also share our passions. Discussions about motorcycles and joint barbecues create a bond that goes beyond the work itself.
Besides my job, I am an avid fan of cooking and enjoy sharing Portuguese specialties with my colleagues. It's wonderful to share my culinary heritage with them and bring a piece of my home country to the Netherlands.
At Oliver, I feel appreciated for who I am and what I add to the team. The trust placed in me gives me the freedom to do my work in my own way.
