The summer certainly made its presence felt in Venray this year. With temperatures rising, it also became quite warm inside the cleanrooms. While the Maintenance team worked on further optimizing the cooling systems, the Production team used the available time to take on various activities outside the cleanroom.
Part of this time was dedicated to sharing knowledge. In the packaging areas of Hall 1 and Hall 3, colleagues took part in several training sessions together. Experienced packers guided team members through working with the MES Pack App, while the team also practiced both manual and automatic cutting of the plastic and cardboard cores used for our rolls.
There was plenty of activity outside Production as well. Together with the Material Handling team, the material inventory was thoroughly checked, with forklift driver Artur helping to make sure everything could be properly inspected. With Monika’s help, warehouse locations and barcodes were updated, and the organization of recycling activities was improved. Practical matters also received attention, including checking the expiration dates of gloves and face masks.
What started as a period of challenging conditions turned into a great opportunity to tackle a variety of tasks behind the scenes. Learning new skills, sharing knowledge, organizing inventory and improving processes: the team certainly made good use of the warm summer days.
A big thank you to all colleagues who helped out and shared their knowledge!
