My name is Jadwiga, and I have been working as a Customer Care Representative (CCR) at Oliver Healthcare Packaging for a year and a half. Due to changed circumstances outside of Oliver's control, our paths will soon part, but I am happy to share my experience of working at Oliver.
My journey to this position began unexpectedly. After creating my LinkedIn profile, I was contacted by a recruiter looking for someone for Oliver. With my background in medical engineering, I was excited about the opportunity to work in the medical industry. It felt like a perfect match, and before I knew it, I had the job.
Responsibilities as a CCR
As a CCR, I am responsible for supporting customers. Each CCR has their own region and serves as the first point of contact for orders, complaints, and new requests. It is a versatile role that involves a lot of customer contact. No day is the same, and each case brings new challenges. This makes the job not only varied but also offers growth opportunities, both within the role and on a personal level.
Work Atmosphere at Oliver
Oliver has a very pleasant work atmosphere. Everyone knows each other by name, and there is an open and supportive culture. This was a refreshing change for me, as in previous jobs I felt more like a number. At Oliver, you can be yourself without pretending to be someone else. Colleagues from different departments work closely together, which is essential for providing the best service to our customers.
Our team consists of seven CCRs. The atmosphere is cozy, and we always have a good laugh together. Humor is an important part of our daily interactions, which makes the work even more enjoyable.
Free Time
In my free time, I like to travel, cook, read, and learn new things. Each year, I try to visit seven countries, often staying only a few days in one location before moving on.
Improved Skills
My communication skills have significantly improved since working at Oliver. This is, of course, an important skill in this job. It's essential to communicate well with customers, especially when there are language barriers. To improve these skills, Oliver offers internal training. These trainings have also helped me become more open, talk more, and enhance my technical knowledge.
Production Move from America to Venray
One project I am particularly proud of is the relocation of our production from America to Venray. This project, which started a year ago and is still ongoing, has allowed us to expand our facilities here and serve our European customers faster.
Advice for Future Applicants
My advice to anyone considering applying to Oliver: JUST DO IT! Many people are afraid of change or trying new things, but I've learned that sometimes you just have to take the plunge. You don't have to be an expert right away; you can always learn. Step out of your comfort zone and discover what is possible.
Oliver has given me the opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally. It is a place where you can be yourself, learn, and be part of a supportive and friendly team.
